Leveling system
When it comes to precision tiling, a reliable leveling system is essential.
Levelit
The Levelit levelling system is ideal for large surfaces and large format tiles. This system enables every tiler to efficiently and levelly place floor or wall tiles.
XL
The XL wedge system is specifically designed for thicker and heavier tiles. The longer clips enable professional tilers to tile outdoor terraces perfectly flat.
What is a Leveling System and Why Do You Need One?
The use of a leveling system is crucial for a perfect professional finish. Certainly with tiles from 60x60cm or parquet tiles that are often curved. Without these systems, small differences in height and alignment can lead to an irregular tile floor, which is both aesthetically and functionally undesirable. A good leveling system prevents these problems and ensures a smooth and uniform surface.
What are the different types of leveling systems?
At Nivello we have a wide range of levelling systems, but which system is best suited to your project? For large format tiles and large surfaces, the Levelit levelling system is the ideal choice. Are you looking for a levelling system for thicker, heavier tiles such as outdoor tiles? Then the XL levelling system , similar to Levelit but with larger clips , is perfect. For smaller to medium-sized tiles, we recommend the Tiling Buddy levelling system . Finally, for both large and small tiles and ideal for wall tiles, theHelix levelling system is the ideal choice.
How does a tile leveling system work?
Depending on the system you choose, the usage will differ. Although the steps are largely the same.
Step 1: Always have enough adhesive and place the first tile. Make sure the first tile is completely level.
Step 2: Slide the clip(s) under the tile and tap the tile. Place the next tile after you have applied the clips. Place this tile on top of the clip base.
Step 3: Slide the wedge through the opening of the clip. Use the leveling pliers to push the wedge through the clip with enough force until the tile is level. TIP: Do not remove the wedge yet.
Step 4: Leave the wedge in place for 24 hours after fixing and once the tile adhesive has hardened, the clip and wedge can be easily removed with a rubber mallet or your foot. TIP: Always break in the direction of the joint.
Step 5: Remove the wedges from the clips, they can be reused.
